Next Ceremony – March 21, 2017

What is the Iron Ring?

The Iron Ring can be provided to graduating engineering students, and others with acceptable qualifications, at a ceremony during which they take an obligation of commitment to a high standard of professional conduct. The name of the ceremony is The Ritual of the Calling of an Engineer. The Ritual is administered by the entity called The Corporation of the Seven Wardens. The ceremony and the ring are uniquely Canadian.

Visit ironring.ca for more information.

Who we are in Manitoba?

The custodian of The Ritual of the Calling of an Engineer and authority for its implementation in Manitoba is the branch of The Corporation of the Seven Wardens known as Camp 8. Camp 8 is separate from but works closely with the Faculty of Engineering and Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba.
